Stykz is the first multi-platform stick figure animation program in the world (Still a Beta Program)

Quote
For Mac OS X 10.4.2 or higher / Linux Beta coming soon / For Windows XP SP2 or later.

Stykz is the first multi-platform stick figure animation program in the world (as far as we know!), and it is COMPLETELY FREE!

If you've ever used Pivot StickFigure Animator, you'll feel right at home and will appreciate the extra features that Stykz has to offer!

And even if you haven’t used Pivot, you’ll find Stykz to be a powerful, easy to learn tool for creating great looking stick figure animations quickly and efficiently.

  1.   Stykz is frame-based, letting you to work on individual frames of your animation; onionskinning lets you to see what was in the previous frame so you can make adjustments accordingly.
   2.   •Figures can be rotated, scaled, flipped, duplicated, colorized, and relayered. Select multiple figures by shift-clicking or creating a selection rectangle and align them using the alignment options in the Property palette.
   3.   •Figures can be created and edited directly in place; no separate “editor” window is required.

   4.  Ã¢â‚¬Â¢"Draw" your figures by simply right-clicking and dragging, either directly on the Stage or from an existing node; segments are automatically drawn and added to your figure as you go!

Features

   1.  Ã¢â‚¬Â¢You can have multiple animation “documents” open at the same
time, and can cut, copy, and paste between documents.
   2.  Ã¢â‚¬Â¢You can individually adjust the line segments in a figure, setting their length, width, color, and angle. You can individually relayer line segments within a figure so that you can get a “crossing arms” effect simply and easily, and you can change the layer of any selected figures to create the front-to-back order you desire.
   3.  Ã¢â‚¬Â¢Stykz’s PolyFill tool lets you fill shapes with just a few clicks! shapes don’t even have to be enclosed to use
the PolyFill tool; you simply click on the different nodes of a figure and when you click back where you started, the polyfill region is created! It can be filled with color and will move and resize as your figure is moved and resized.
   4.  Ã¢â‚¬Â¢In addition to simple pivoting motions, you can utilize the Extend Mode to extend a line segment, which will move all attached lines accordingly, or Distort Mode which allows you to move a node by itself, and have any attached lines adjust like rubber bands (see the Intro to Stykz movie for a demonstration of this.)
   5.   •Display the Hints window to help you work within Stykz; it tells you what you can do with each tool, and adjusts as you switch between tools. When you are comfortable with Stykz, you can keep it closed, or use it for a quick refresher in case you forgot something.
   6.   •Arrow keys can be used to move selected figure(s) by 1 pixel; hold down the Shift key to move in 10 pixel increments.
   7.  Ã¢â‚¬Â¢If you have commonly used figures, you can save your figure to the Library where it can be used again and again in other animations by simply dragging and dropping it onto the stage where your animation is being developed.
   8.  Ã¢â‚¬Â¢Test your animation in Stykz before you export it; export to QuickTime, Animated GIF, or a sequence of images.
   9.   •You can share your Stykz files with others, and even include information with the file that tells who created it, when it was last modified, and even provides a place to include usage instructions.
