Aphotic Ascent is the player's journey with the last light in a world conquered by darkness. It's a 2D platforming game where the player finds himself in a cave filled with shadowy enemies and obstacles. To combat these forces the player is only armed with the light of his lantern, which, due to unknown reasons, is the last untainted light left. The player has to push back the darkness and obtained the rest of the stolen light to return the world back to equilibrium.
