BASSMOD is a MOD only (XM, IT, S3M, MOD, MTM, UMX) version of BASS; useful for demos, or anything else where you want to play some MOD music.
BASSMOD uses the MultiMedia drivers on Windows platforms, the OSS drivers on Linux, and the Core Audio on Mac OSX, so no special libraries or drivers are required to be installed. C/C++, Visual Basic, Delphi and MASM APIs are included. A basic example player is also included.
