Xenoage Player
About

2004-2007 by Andreas Wenger, Xenoage Software
MusicXML format © by Recordare LLC, http://www.recordare.com

MusicXML is a file format developed by Recordare that can be used to exchange files between music notation software like Sibelius, Finale or Igor Engraver.
Xenoage Player is a program written in Java that plays MusicXML files and allows to save them as Standard MIDI files. It is available as a standalone application and an applet for webpages. From version 0.4 on it supports also MusicXML 2.0 files.

This program runs on Linux, Windows, MacOS, Solaris and almost all other operating systems that support Java. You need at least the JRE 1.5.0

This program is free software, released under the GNU General Public License (GPL).

Known problems and solutions

If you can't hear anything: If you use Windows, you have probably not installed a Java soundbank.

Download the latest version: Download xenoplay-0-4-src.zip (586.5 kB) and unzip it. Then launch xenoplay.jar to open the App.
