Google Play Music Desktop Player is a beautiful cross platform Desktop Player for [ur=https://play.google.com/music/listenl]Google Play Music[/url].

Run "Google Play Music" as a standalone desktop app. Never again will you have to hunt through your tabs to pause your music, or stop listening to your favourite song because Chrome is guzzling up all your RAM..

Integrating with GPMDP from External Applications
There are two methods you can use to integrate with GPMDP from an external application.

    JSON Interface
    Web Socket Interface

Both are documented in the Docs folder. For one time read access you should probably use the JSON interface. For an application that requires continuous updates as to the state of GPMDP or needs to control GPMDP you should use the Web Socket interface.

Issues
If you have any bugs / issues please check the FAQ first before raising an issue

Open Source
Google Play Music Desktop Player is open source on GitHub. This means YOU, the community, gets a say in all the features we implement and you can even get involved and help out.

If you find a bug or want something new, tell us in Gitter or on GitHub and we will see what we can do!!

Resource Efficient
Being a lightweight, standalone framework we use FAR less resources than having Google Play Music open in a standard chrome tab. This frees up your computer's resources to do things you care about, instead of wasting them on playing music.
