recall.gov has a combined list of federal product recalls on consumer products.

Software Santa thanks Rhiannon over at Tech Support Alert (http://softwaresanta.com/sssmf/index.php?topic=1013.0) for this useful tip! Santa's been doing an awful lot of shopping for presents over at Gizmo Richard's Site! A tip of the Santa Cap to him and his staff.

Keep track of products that have been recalled by the U.S. Government.

recall.gov keeps an updated list of product recalls on consumer products: medicine, motor vehicles, boats, environmental products and cosmetics.

The site is searchable, has a section for recent recalls, plus you can sign up for email notifications from these agencies: the FDA, USDA, CPSC and NHTS.

The site maintains searchable databases from the EPA, NHTSA, the USDA, FDA, CPSC and the United States Coastguard. The databases are labeled according to what they contain - the USDA database contains information on Meat and Poultry Products.

The recent recall page has sections for the same agencies.

To provide better service in alerting the American people to unsafe, hazardous or defective products, six federal agencies with vastly different jurisdictions have joined together to create www.recalls.gov -- a "one stop shop" for U.S. Government recalls.

Follow the tabs above to obtain the latest recall information, to report a dangerous product, or to learn important safety tips.
